2023 Ty Wick Award Winner – Jenny Gray

SAJB President Jeremy Jenkins and Aqua Duck Defender of the Aquifer present the 2023 Ty Wick Award to Jenny Gray, PHD.

The Ty Wick award was presented on April 27, 2023, at the SRF Conference.  President Jenkins and Aqua Duck honored Jenny Gray, Environmental Health Specialist for the Panhandle Health District Critical Materials Program.   Jenny provides technical assistance visits to businesses that use or store hazardous chemicals over the aquifer. Jenny works collaboratively across agencies and municipalities. Jenny contributed to the 5th edition of the Aquifer Atlas. She assists the Confluence Project in educating students in Environmental awareness and inspires others to commit to protecting our natural resources.

Congratulations Jenny and thank you for your vital work protecting the aquifer.  In 2020 Jenny Gray was nominated for the June Health Matters Hero. Jenny has overcome significant health challenges and is a inspiring example of perseverance and resilience. One coworker described her as “the bravest woman she has ever met!”
