2024 Ty Wick Defender of the Aquifer Award Presented to Spokane County Water Resources Team

The 2024 Defender of the Aquifer Award goes to the Spokane county Water Resources Team and the Aquifer Protection Area. The team has conducted over 20 years of water quality monitoring across the SVRP Aquifer. In addition to water quality monitoring, the education program reaches thousands of students each year teaching about water quality, storm water and watershed protection. Schools served come from 14 school districts. and sixty percent of the students come from the 5 school districts overlaying the SVRP Aquifer.
