St. Al’s Parish celebrates Earth Day with a 2 day celebration called, “Caring for Creation.” Bees, llamas, Gonzaga students selling coffee and clothing, aquifer information and so much more.
Earth Day 2015 in Riverfornt Park. EnviroKids Sponsors provided a kids activity and stamped passports at each of the stations. A great day!
McDonald Elementary Students created some amazing science displays and experiments. Congratulations McDonald faculty, students and families.
Science and Technology Night at Holmes Elementary was filled with great information and activities for the whole community.
Spokane County Water Reclamation Facility tours were offered by appointment and the Water Resource Center held an Open House. Aquifer, stormwater and proper waste disposal activities were also provided.

HUB Sports Center put on a free event for kid in the community. Aqua Duck, Shock the Fox, Sasquatch and other celebrities joined in the action.
Valleyfest at Mirabeau Meadows, Mirabeau Parkway, Spokane Valley, WA is full of fun for kids, information from local agencies, and entertainment.
Valleyfest kicked of the 2014 event with the Hearts of Gold Parade.
Spokane County Interstate Fair September 5-14, 2014 – “There’s No Place Like the Fair” Rodeo, livestock, amusement rides, food, arts and crafts, vendors and the Green Zone.
Millwood DAZE includes a 5K run, a red wagon race, classic cars, performers and lots of community agencies. Proceeds go to Meals on Wheels.
the 20th Unity in the Community heritage festival was held at Riverfront Park. Dancers, singers, vendors and agencies provided information and fun for everyone.

Meade 5th grade Environmental days, held at Bear Lake, involve all 5th graders in 6 learning experiences including, stormwater, aquifer, clean air, wildlife, EnviroStars and what everyone can do to protect our environment.
Fire District 9 – 3801 East Farwell Road, Mead, WA invites the community to see fire management demonstrations. Food, vendors, health and local agencies provide information and fun for everyone.
The Spokane STEMposium is a one-day event at WSU Spokane that provides middle school and high school students the opportunity to present their STEM projects in a conference setting. Students prepare technical papers, three-dimensional posters and PowerPoint presentations. Projects are evaluated by industry experts. Students with projects earning a superior rating will receive a prize.
Aqua Duck attended the Drug Take Back Event sponsored by the Spokane County Sheriff’s Department and held at the Spokane Valley Police Department on Sprague.
Aqua Duck loves Earth Day and all of the groups who come together to celebrate our beautiful planet.
The Service Truck Rodeo brings regional water providers together to learn about the latest technology and showcase their trucks. Events like meter madness, best tasting water and last operator standing are just a few of the activities that made it a fun day for everyone.
Ponderosa Students displayed their science projects. Aqua Duck shared his adventures of protecting the aquifer and students game EnviroStars bracelets to remind them of what they can do to protect our sole source of drinking water!
