Pollution Prevention Assistance: Spokane Regional Health District (SRHD) provides dangerous waste management evaluation and education to area small businesses as a member of Washington state’s Pollution Prevention Partnership. Pollution Prevention Specialists identify potential sources of pollution and share best management practices to help businesses make improvements that protect human health and the environment. Business Registration and Assistance: Commercial and industrial facilities regulated by Spokane Clean Air must register annually. Registration verifies compliance and helps maintain an accurate inventory of air pollutants. Facility data also helps with the evaluation of pollution control strategies which are designed to meet national air quality standards. Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generators (CESQG) of Hazardous Business Waste may dispose of Hazardous Waste by appointment only on Saturday and Sunday at the North County and Spokane Valley Transfer Stations.
