- Education & Awareness – presentation to Leadership Spokane 11/4 – asked audience what their business or organization could do to promote or practice conservation. Proposals received or expected from KSPS Channel 7 (06-07 contract), Persistent Vision (Virtual Field Trips and Website addition), KDK One and iMPro (TV & radio spots), Dave Kelley (Aqua Duck Comic book issue #3); placemat map v.2 in progress; final version interpretive signs in preparation

- Conservation – 11/9 mtg, discussion of ‘turn-key’ water testing kits & difficulty getting into schools w/ Spokane County Conservation District staff; getting the word out about irrigation audits and possible instruction for irrigation industry personnel; news on participants’ conservation efforts being planned and underway

GUEST SPEAKER – Spokane County Deputy Sheriff Greg Snyder to discuss water system security and communication with his department
A) Aquifer Protection Council – coordinate interviews scheduled for 3 Assistant candidates Nov 22 @SRHD
B) Idaho/Washington Aquifer Study Conference, May 2007 – Center Place @ Mirabeau, Spokane Valley; met to plan day two of 2 1/2-day conference in May 2007, to “unveil” the results of the Rathdrum-Spokane aquifer study. Tentative schedule as follows: Day of May 8th, – scientists, hydro-geologists, to describe the computer model, discuss what it can and can’t do. Evening of May 8th, – a public meeting to summarize the results of the Rathdrum-Spokane aquifer study and invite citizen questions. May 9th will be a discussion of how the new information can be used to collectively manage our water supply in two states.
C) Idaho/Washington Aquifer Study Conference, May 2007 – Center Place @ Mirabeau, Spokane Valley; Schedule changes! May 8, day – technical details of study w/hydrogeologists, explanation of model, application, outcomes, future use of model. May 8 evening – intro and public mtg w/ study highlights, May 9, 8:30-4:30 – Water Policy
