- Committee Reports
- ProActive Business – August IGC Business Visit report attached
- Potential Contaminant Source Inventory Update – all source data obtained, interim report format will highlight new sites added, sites dropped, etc; delivery expected end of September. Districts will be asked to review changes to list and report corrections. Revised maps will be generated during annual update only; no maps will be generated with this update
- Household Contaminant Disposal – planning for disposal campaign during the month of October; seeking repeat cooperative efforts with Spokane Regional Solid Waste System and Retired Senior Volunteer Program; proposed media campaign includes TV and radio spots and weekly print ads
- Education & Awareness – Aqua Duck poster under consideration for use as full color11” x 17” poster, black& white for coloring, and as postcard and other graphic uses. Development/discussion of a ‘Wish List’ of future projects to submit to Ecology as request to revise 319 Grant work plan and extend time line
- Website – total website visits for August 2003 = 955. Majority viewer visits were to the Virtual Field Trip pages; substantial number of hits on the Spanish translation pages; redesign work proceeding
- Emergency Planning – no activity to report
- PROGRAM LEADER REPORT – Julia McHugh
a) Aquifer Atlas reprinting – Draft revisions were discussed at the 8/20/03 meeting. Bids estimates for various quantities have been obtained. Group has set a printing of 10,000 as the target, low bid @ 24 pages = $21,986. Next meeting 09/10/03
b) Aquifer presentation to Lake Spokane Garden Club 8/28/03
