EnviroZone provides FREE community resources and kids activities as part of Spokane County’s Interstate Fair. The fair is a ten-day event beginning the Friday after Labor Day each year. The Fair is held at the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center on the corner of Broadway and Havana, its location since 1952.
Celebrating the diversity of our community has been the mission of the Annual Unity in the Community Festival (UIC) for 24 years in a row. Join us in a celebration of community. culture and connections.

Aqua Duck enjoyed the 2017 Jr. Lilac Parade and all of the great youth groups.
Follow Aqua Duck as he visits the rivers and water fountains in Paris France, Behrn Switzerland and Aaken Germany. He tasted water in three countries and still thinks the Spokane Valley Rathdrum Prairie Valley Aquifer has the best tasting water in the world.
Hub-Apalooza a great event for kids to try out different sports and for superheros to meet.
Unity in the Community has a Cultural Village and a stage consisting of a diverse group of performers and acts to keep you entertained all day. Whatever your age, you will find something to do at Unity.
Aqua Duck, Defender of the Spokane Valley Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer, rides the train with Clifford the Big Red dog, at Kids Day 2016. Such a great event.
The annual fall leaf festival and compost fair offers a kid’s scavenger hunt, information on gardening and composting, tours of the arboretum, activities and a pile of fall leaves to play in.
Valleyfest is an annual tradition bringing the greater region together since 1990. The community-wide celebration is held each September at Mirabeau Point Park and CenterPlace Regional Event Center in the Spokane Valley. Live entertainment for the entire family, an opportunity to meet and have fun with friends, and recognize area youth for their talents.
The Hearts of Gold Parade starts at University and Sprague and goes to Pines. Aqua Duck was one of hundreds of parade participants.
The Center for Justice began the Mike Chappell Spokane River Hero Award in 2012 to recognize Mike’s legacy of work on Spokane River issues. Andy Dunau, Executive Director of the Spokane River Forum is the 2015 award recipient. Aqua Duck was invited to participate in the award ceremony.
University Elementary’s 2015 Science Night was lots of fun!
Longfellow Elementary packed the gym and multipurpose room with science activities and everyone went home with lots of great information and food.
Spokane County Water Reclamation Facility tours were offered by appointment and the Water Resource Center held an Open House. Aquifer, stormwater and proper waste disposal activities were also provided.

Thanks to the volunteers from Wallmart who participated in the Upriver Scrub and cleaned up Mirabeau and the Centennial trail.
HUB Sports Center put on a free event for kid in the community. Aqua Duck, Shock the Fox, Sasquatch and other celebrities joined in the action.
Valleyfest at Mirabeau Meadows, Mirabeau Parkway, Spokane Valley, WA is full of fun for kids, information from local agencies, and entertainment.
