IWAC and KSPS produced six videos that provide an overview and exploration of the Spokane Valley Rathdrum Prairie aquifer, its importance to the Inland Northwest, how it works, how it can be damaged, and simple actions residents can take to protect and preserve the water from the aquifer.
SAJB contracts with KSPS Public Television for media spots and aquifer education. End of Year Reports, presentations and videos from 2009 through 2013 are available. Thanks KSPS for helping us get the word out on aquifer protection.
Aqua Duck Participates in School and Community Events as part of the SAJB Wellhead Protection Program.
The Aquifer in a Cup Workshop is available to schools and community groups throughout Spokane County.
27 aquifer lessons for students grades 3-6. The Spokane Valley Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer (SVRPA) is the focus of this aquifer unit. Lessons are aligned with WA and ID state standards and cover the SVRPA Formation, Social Issues & History, the Water Cycle, Water Systems, Water Quality and Water Quantity.
Spokane County Interstate Fair Green Zone is a collaboration of SRSWS SRCAA, NOAA, The Lands Council, Spokane County Water Resources, SNAP, Spokane River Forum, SAJB and others.
