SAJB is opposed to House Bill 2186 and Senate Bill 5995. Spokane County and the State of Washington have spent tens of millions of dollars installing a public sewer system to replace private septic systems that were polluting the Spokane Valley Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer.

AWWA Source Water Protection Award
The Spokane Aquifer Joint Board has submitted a report to the American Water Works Association (AWWA) detailing our exemplary aquifer protection program. Recepients of this national award will be notified in late March and the awards will be presented at the annual AWWA Convention June 6-8, 2014 in Boston.
